1.Introduction
Digital Barcol Hardness Tester is a portable indentation hardness tester developed on base of Barcol impressor.It simplifies the tedious adjustment of the pressure needle of the needle bar. It greatly improves the service life of the pressure needle.
There are two types of digital display barinometer:
Type 934-1S, providing digital display of bickers hardness value;
Type 934-1SH, which provides numerical display of hardness value, and can capture peak value, which can be automatically converted into Webster handness (HWA) vickers handness (HV), Brinell hardness (HBW), and Rockwell handness (HRE).
Comply to standard JJG610-2013 and ASTM B648-10(2015).
The theory of digital Barcol hardness tester is to apply with specific shape steel indentor to press in workpieces surface through test force caused by load spring. When supporting foot is closed to the workpieces surface, measure the extension length of the indentor.
Digital Barcol Hardness Tester is applied to test the hardness of Aluminum, Aluminum alloys, Fiber Reinforced Plastics and rigid plastics etc. wide valid testing range equivalent to Brinell hardness 25-150HBW.
